    Left handed cigarettes..

Stay motivated and learn stock market a little better. Get away from options. Join theta gang on blue chips. Sell options to these mah-fuckas. I say this as a 80k loss on options last year. Lesson learned, then I sold bunch of short puts so I hope I don’t get fked.

Anyway, for real, go shares only and no meme stocks.

  3. Boy no one told you don’t play with fire if you can’t handle the burns?

  4. I made 123k 2020-21 in 3 months and lost it all in the proceeding 3 months on AMZN calls… I’d drive around and see the new Tesla I planned on getting and the downpayment for my dads house I was gonna buy him… and always thought, “I’m retarded.”

Turns out I am simply… retarded.. BUT.

Yeah no the story doesn’t get any better I lost another 7k after that..

  5. What play do you have going now ?? If any ??

  7. Some lose millions gambling, you’re lucky, you suck at gambling, and learned that early in life. Take a deep breath, be a man, and get a job. Need to move? Get another job.

  8. WilhelmSuperhitler

Have you learned anything? JK, I saw your last post about Tesla calls. I hope you are studying something lucrative so you can keep funding other people’s lambos for years to come.

  9. You don’t suck !! Seriously..

  10. Please get help.

Gambling is an addiction, 1- 800 – GAMBLER can help. Wishing you the best, our wounded chimp.

  11. Real porn help, but that’s only temporary

  12. Masterbation, drugs and a good pair of work boots. 😂

  13. You pay your tuition to wall street one way or the other. I’ve taken my losses with a grain of salt and being my cost to learn. I have had a year with bad losses but I learned A LOT. I went from being just normal retarded to actually understanding a ton about finances and derivatives. 12k is still less than most decent colleges for a year of tuition so as long as you have take aways you will make better decisions. The pain should fuel your personal growth and if it isn’t then you not only lost physically but mentally as well. We joke around here but it’s important to have your mental state in a good place. Manage your risk going forward and you won’t repeat this pain.

  14. You need to understand why you get into trades. Do you have a trading rule? Do you do technical analysis to support your entry and exit strategy? If you buy options just because…. or you bought because of this sub… you will just blow up your account.

  15. Because some of the posts on this subreddit are coming from people with actual gambling addictions.

For some, maybe it’s rock-bottom and they realize they need help. Others will continue to dig a hole trying to get back to where they were

  16. I don’t play with anything I’m not ready to lose.

  17. WhatuKnowAboutMoney

I’m down like 12k. I would like to invest 1000 a month at least so I think hey in one year that money will be back. I really need to reevaluate my strategy too and don’t know if should just my loses on stock bags im holding that are down 70%

  18. Scion_capital_intern

Only fans, night job at Amazon warehouse(it will keep you in shape too), prolific surveys(actual university research surveys for ~300/month), bartend or wait at a good restaurant, work and get shittier grades…. You can do it but ya not fun.

  19. I got some snake oil to sell you if you’re interested.

  20. I’m still a sophomore in college and lost just about 30k. My life’s savings of all the jobs I’ve ever worked. I’m living paycheck to paycheck now and I have to work when all my friends are out doing fun shit. It sucks but it builds character. I’m glad it happened to me at this age and not older tbh

  21. Invest in ETFs. Get a new addiction. I suggest working out and cocaine.

  22. They joke about it, post pictures of it, and 20 years from now when they are still in massive debt because of it, they’ll regret it.

  24. TheWallStreetTick

Stop losses can be your friend.

  25. Get a job or you’ve still got 1k to yolo and get rich with.

  26. Stop gambling and buy shares of VTI…

Seriously the way I look at it is if we get a 2008 style crash then the whole world is gonna fucking hurt, and you can wait that out for a rebound in a few years hopefully.

When shit hits the fan (like high PE/no revenue tech has this week) that’s when the boomers rise up. Not everybody has calls expiring next week. Some have calls expiring in 2 weeks. Jk but for real stop fucking around with options and just do shares for a while

  27. figure out a way to laugh at it and turn it into a cool story

  28. KarensRpeopletoo

I was up over twenty thousand and held out of greed, it sucks, but I’ve held on and am going to continue to hold.

The hardest lesson I learned in the stock market is that you don’t lose till you sell…

The market fluctuates, but if you look at charts from over the years you will see that things always come around, that’s why you should never invest more than you can afford to lose.

Just learn from your mistakes, the market is an awesome thing, and as long as you diversify, and wait, you WILL see gains.

The fear you feel when you think the market is going to crash is curated by a bunch of idiot shorts, trying to scare you into selling.

I’ve been there, shit I lost so much money when I first started just because I thought it would go to zero, it never did and if I had held on some of those positions I would have made over 70k on a $600.00 investment….

  29. Important_Economy_13

How do you cope?!!! Blow and hookers… 1500$ for a party night seems like a bargain when you lost 5-10x that in less than a week🤷‍♂️

  30. You have a wank to the loss porn….6 figure losses for me last year…get up and try again

  31. hammer_smash_scrotum

Reddit is anonymous. We don’t know who the people are that are posting insane loss porn.

Some people in here are already wealthy or having incredibly lucrative careers. So yeah they can gamble 100k and laugh about it when it doesn’t hit.

Silver lining here: you’re young and you learned a valuable lesson. Work hard and dream big.

  32. notTheKajhiitUlookn4

Was up 40k on one account and 20k on another, proceeded to get both accounts back to the 900s. So far I’ve gotten 1 back to 10k. Honestly I was super depressed….. it’s just number on a screen

  33. More_Establishment49

I have done better at the actual casino than on the market. casino am am up 2k 2000% lifetime. Market I am down 20k 66% lifetime. I should have stayed at the casino!

  34. Everything is cyclical. Don’t lose what you can’t afford to lose. If you lose other peoples money, go fuck yourself. Sounds like OP needs to get laid.

  35. Friendly-Passage8855

I lost 337k last year. I drink myself to oblivion every night.

  36. WorldTraveler35

I was down -$60k at worst and slowly made it back. -$8k was where I got closet to recovery at the recent top some weeks ago. If AMD can go back to ATH I might just make full recovery this year.

Just take a slow. Learn from ur mistakes. Change strategy. Or possibly just take the L And just quit before things get worse

  37. The more money you lose the faster you learn. Also, pain is a function of theta

  38. >I’m one of the retards here with 5 figures loss porn.

    *Nice, you found your people!*

    >I’ve been depressed and mentally drained since the new year

*Less nice.* Have you talked to a professional about feeling depressed/burnt out? I haven’t been an undergrad in a long time, but I remember a lot of anxiety my senior year. What you’re experiencing might just be normal senior blues projected onto the financial hit.

Please realize that money isn’t everything. Particularly when you’re relatively young, it’s ok to take risks and lose sometimes. Find things that bring you fulfillment and joy that don’t cost much.

    >This was supposed to be the time of my life and I ruined it.

Nah. You played your cards and lost. That’s ok. You still have a fatter bank account than many, many, many college students. I’m not going to ask you to pretend that your loss didn’t hurt, but see it as an opportunity for growth, count your blessings, and realize that having fun with people you care about doesn’t have to require much money. You’ve got this.

  39. I made 50k last year trading only QQQ. I lost all the profit I made last year in one week. There will be another bull run again for several months just have enough money to be prepared for it and you’ll make it all back.

  40. It’s normal to be depressed.
I lost 100k+ last year. Had a 6months itm call on baba and the best part was that it was draining me slowly. Lmao.
I was depressed for a good week. Then just focused on real life stuff. Go out do more stuff, this helps with depression. Get a real job bro and get back to trading and learn from your mistake. You’ll get back up there eventually. I make close to 100k/yr but still drive for doordash couple hours a night. It’s good to be out

  41. When I was in my early twenties I took a 20k personal loan out from SoFi (thx for the cash).

I went all in on HMNY (movie pass) the day that it stopped going up and ended up losing a lot of it. So I was basically in debt from that plus student loans plus being in a broke ass studio apartment with a shit paying job.

How did I deal with it? I told myself that I was a pure autist and that I shouldn’t listen to WSB anymore. Years went by and then I saw the only thing more retarded than movie pass, GameStop. This piece of shit brick and mortar retailer was going up. And there was a thesis that said that the price could literally go to infinity?

That’s when something triggered my inner autist. I withdrew my entire 401k (about 80 grand, the result of investing every penny I had) and I bought gme leap calls.

My net worth is over 2 mil right now and that’s after paying estimated taxes.

There is no moral to this story.
